What does CCTV stand for and why is it used?

CCTV stands for Closed Circuit Television. This is when security cameras are used to capture important images and will record them.

Is it better to have a camera on show or hidden?

This is entirely up to you. It is a good idea to have the camera on show as it could prevent someone from coming onto your property. There is the chance that because they know it is there, they could disguise themselves even more because they know they will be seen. Some of our clients wish to hide their cameras. Either way, it is still better to have one than not at all.

Can the camera pick up anything in the dark?

Yes it can and up to 2 metres away but it may be a good idea to have some extra lighting nearby if you find that you cannot see much when you look at the monitor.

Where can my cameras be installed?

We can fit your cameras on the outside of your house, building or even to your garage. If you have electronic gates then we can install the cameras so you can see who is entering. If you have a summer house then cameras can be fitted to this.
